Our rock and surf fishing experiences are perfect for locals, those from out of town, or international tourists who just need some local guidance. Spend a relaxing day exploring the local beaches, chasing down the elusive steenbras, cob, or some of the other fish to be caught from our shores.

Our Local Fishing Experiences are designed for people who want to spend time on the water, explore the Overstrand coastline, and enjoy fishing in a relaxed and natural setting.
Whether you’re casting from the surf, fishing rocky points, or enjoying a quiet session on the laggon, each trip is shaped around the conditions, the season, and the kind of experience you’re looking for.
Led by local angler Matt, these trips combine local knowledge, great locations, and a genuine love for fishing and the outdoors.

Your Trip
Every trip is planned around weather conditions, tides, season, and the type of fishing experience you’re after.
While a catch can never be guaranteed, every trip is designed to offer an enjoyable, authentic, and memorable fishing experience.
Half-Day Experience
Approximately 4-5 hours, either in the morning or afternoon.
Perfect for those wanting a relaxed fishing session without committing to a full day.
Full-Day Experience
Approximately 8 hours spent exploring and fishing some of the best locations.
Ideal for anglers wanting a slower-paced, more immersive experience.
Gear & Bait
We provide all rods, tackle, and bait needed for the trip, and the gear is selected according to the location and fishing conditions on the day.
You’re welcome to bring your own gear or combine it with ours depending on your preference. If you have gear that you’d like to bring along but aren’t sure about, Matt will be able to guide you beforehand.
We use fresh bait wherever possible and, if conditions allow, you may even have the opportunity to join Matt in collecting bait before the session.

Don’t have a fishing licence? Let us know and we’ll help you arrange one before your trip or lesson. Children under the age of 12 do not require a fishing permit.
