The Fine Print

Bookings:

All bookings must be made by completing the online booking form available on the Shoreline Fishing website or by emailing us at info@shorelinefishing.co.za. By submitting an online booking or email application form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.

Payments:

For bookings made more than 14 days before the fishing adventure or training session, a 50% deposit or full payment is required to secure your spot. For bookings made within 14 days of the start date, full payment is required.

Payment must be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), and proof of payment must be sent to info@shorelinefishing.co.za. Bookings are only confirmed once payment has cleared in the Shoreline Fishing bank account.

Weather:

Fishing trips and training sessions are weather dependent. If Shoreline Fishing determines that a trip cannot proceed due to weather conditions or safety concerns, alternative dates will be offered, and a credit will be issued.

All decisions regarding the running or cancellation of any trip are at the absolute discretion of Shoreline Fishing and are final.

Changes or Cancellations:

All changes or cancellations must be confirmed in writing to info@shorelinefishing.co.za.

Participants may change or cancel their booking up to 72 hours prior to the start date by emailing Shoreline Fishing.

In the event of a change, the participant’s account will be credited for the amount due and applied to their new booking.

If a booking is canceled, refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days of written confirmation of cancellation, less any incurred costs.

No refunds will be issued if a booking is canceled less than 72 hours of the start date.

Fishing Gear and Breakage Deposit:

As part of your booking, Shoreline Fishing provides one fishing rod and tackle per person. If you’d like to rent additional rods, please contact us to make arrangements. A breakage deposit is required for all equipment, which is fully refundable upon the return of the gear in undamaged condition. Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to retain part or all of the deposit if any equipment is damaged during use.

Valid Fishing License:

All participants must hold a valid South African recreational fishing license and carry their fishing permit and identity documents on the trip. Shoreline Fishing will not be responsible for any fines or penalties incurred for failure to present a valid license.

Catch and Release Policy:

Shoreline Fishing practices sustainable fishing and follows a strict catch-and-release policy. We do not encourage taking home any fish that are undersized. If you’re unsure about regulations, we’ll provide guidance during the trip to ensure all practices are ethical and legal.

Clothing and Equipment:

Participants are required to wear appropriate clothing suitable for fishing and outdoor conditions. Comfortable, weather-appropriate attire and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Medical Conditions:

Participants must notify Shoreline Fishing of any medical conditions relevant to the activities. Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any participant deemed unfit or unable to participate safely.

Safety:

Participants should be aware that fishing and outdoor activities come with inherent risks. While all necessary precautions are taken by Shoreline Fishing, participation in these activities is undertaken at the participant’s own risk. It remains the participant’s responsibility to assess and manage their own risks during the trip
