Bookings:

Bookings can be made through our website booking form, WhatsApp, telephone, email or an authorised third-party booking platform.

All bookings are subject to availability, weather and fishing conditions, and acceptance by Shoreline Fishing.

By making a booking, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions. Where a booking is made on behalf of other participants or children, the person making the booking is responsible for communicating the relevant terms and requirements to them.

Payments:

Full payment is required to secure your booking.

Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been successfully received. Unpaid bookings may be released to other clients after the payment deadline has passed.

Weather:

Fishing trips are weather dependent.

If Shoreline Fishing determines that a trip cannot proceed, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date.

Where an alternative date cannot be agreed upon, a refund or credit will be offered.

Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel a trip where conditions make it impractical to proceed. Decisions relating to weather, fishing conditions and safety rest with Shoreline Fishing.

Changes or Cancellations:

All booking changes and cancellations must be communicated to and confirmed with Shoreline Fishing.

Bookings may be changed or cancelled, subject to the conditions outlined below.

Where a booking is rescheduled, payments already received will be credited towards the new booking. Rescheduling is subject to Shoreline Fishing’s availability and suitable weather conditions.

Where a booking is cancelled by the customer, the following refund policy applies:

• More than 7 days before the trip: 90% refund
• 7 days or less, but more than 72 hours before the trip: 75% refund
• 72 hours or less before the trip: No refund

No-shows and late arrivals: Participants who fail to arrive or arrive too late to participate will forfeit their booking without a refund.

Fishing Gear and Breakage Deposit:

As part of your booking, Shoreline Fishing provides all the equipment required for the fishing trip. A breakage deposit is required, which is fully refundable upon the return of the gear in undamaged condition. Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to retain part or all of the deposit if any equipment is damaged during use.

Valid Fishing Licence:

All participants aged 12 and older are required to have a valid South African recreational fishing permit and carry it, together with appropriate identification, during the trip.

Fishing permits can be obtained through the DFFE online fishing permit system.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary permits. Shoreline Fishing cannot accept responsibility for fines or penalties resulting from failure to comply with fishing regulations.

Should you require assistance in obtaining a permit, please contact the Shoreline Fishing team, who will gladly assist you.

Catch & Release Policy:

Shoreline Fishing supports sustainable and responsible fishing practices, including catch and release.

We do not permit the retention of undersized, protected or prohibited species. All catches must comply with South African fishing regulations, including species restrictions, size limits and bag limits.

Our guides will provide guidance on responsible handling, catch-and-release practices and the legal requirements for retaining fish.

Clothing & Equipment:

Participants should arrive appropriately dressed for fishing and outdoor conditions.

Comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, sun protection and warm, weather-resistant layers are recommended.

Specific requirements will be provided in the booking confirmation.

Medical Conditions:

Participants must inform Shoreline Fishing before their trip of any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities or other circumstances that may affect their ability to participate safely or require special assistance.

Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone deemed unfit or unable to participate safely.

Safety:

Fishing and outdoor activities involve inherent risks. Participants must follow the safety instructions and guidance provided by Shoreline Fishing at all times.

While Shoreline Fishing takes all reasonable safety precautions, participants are responsible for assessing and managing their own risks during the trip.

Additional Terms for Kids Fishing Clinics

Kids Clinic Bookings & Payments:

Children must be registered for a specific clinic date using the Shoreline Fishing Kids Clinic booking process.

Clinic places are limited and allocated subject to availability.

Full payment is required by the deadline stated in the booking confirmation. Unpaid clinic places may be released to other children once the payment deadline has passed.

Parental Consent & Indemnity Forms:

A completed and signed parental consent and indemnity form is required for every child participating in a Shoreline Fishing Kids Clinic.

Forms must be submitted electronically before the clinic or handed to Shoreline Fishing before the child participates.

Drop-off & Collection:

Parents or guardians must ensure children arrive at the designated meeting point at the specified time and are collected promptly at the end of the clinic.

Children will only be released to the parent or guardian responsible for the booking or an authorised person identified on the booking form.

Any changes to collection arrangements must be communicated to and acknowledged by Matt before collection.

Parents or guardians must remain contactable throughout the clinic.

Clinic Cancellations & Changes:

The standard cancellation and refund policy applies to Kids Fishing Clinic bookings. Where a booking is cancelled and a refund is requested, the applicable refund percentage will be determined by the standard cancellation policy.

Rescheduling more than 72 hours before the clinic:

Bookings may be transferred to another available clinic date at no additional charge, subject to availability.

Rescheduling within 72 hours of the clinic:

Where a parent requests to reschedule for personal reasons less than 72 hours before the clinic, a credit towards another clinic will only be issued if Shoreline Fishing is able to fill the original booking.

Illness or unforeseen circumstances:

Where a child is unable to attend due to illness or exceptional unforeseen circumstances, Shoreline Fishing will allow one transfer to another available clinic date, provided we are notified before the clinic begins.

No-shows:

Bookings where a child does not attend and no prior notice is given will not qualify for a refund or credit.

All clinic transfers are subject to availability and must be confirmed with Shoreline Fishing.

Weather-Related Postponements:

Kids Fishing Clinics are subject to suitable weather and fishing conditions.

Where Shoreline Fishing determines that a clinic cannot proceed, parents or guardians will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.

An alternative clinic date will be offered. Where a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, parents may request a booking credit or refund.

Supervision & Behaviour:

Children will be supervised by the Shoreline Fishing team. All children must follow instructions from Matt and any authorised instructors or assistants.

Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to contact a parent or guardian and request early collection where a child’s behaviour presents a significant safety risk to themselves or others.

Photography & Videos:

Photographs and videos may be taken during Kids Fishing Clinics to share with parents and, where appropriate consent has been obtained, for use on Shoreline Fishing’s website and social media.

Parents or guardians may request that photographs of their child be shared privately and not used for public promotional purposes.

Any photography preferences or restrictions should be communicated to Shoreline Fishing before the clinic.

Updates to Terms & Conditions:

Shoreline Fishing reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be published on our website and will apply to new bookings made after the updated terms take effect.
