Every lesson is tailored to your experience level and what you’d like to learn, with time spent fishing and putting those new skills into practice.
Fishing lessons can take place on the beach, along the lagoon banks or from our lagoon boat, depending on the type of lesson, the season and the conditions on the day.
All rods, tackle and bait are provided, but if you have your own gear and would like to learn how to set it up and use it more effectively, you’re welcome to bring it along and we’ll work with it during your lesson.
Where expert guidance meets unforgettable moments.

Fishing Lessons
Lessons are planned according to weather conditions, season, and what you’d like to learn or focus on during the session.
While catching fish is always exciting, the focus of these sessions is on learning, building confidence, and developing practical fishing knowledge.
Half-Day Lesson
Approximately 5–6 hours, either in the morning or afternoon.
Fishing lessons can take place from the beach, along the lagoon banks, or from the lagoon boat
Kids Lessons
For younger children, lagoon-based fishing lessons are often the easiest and most comfortable introduction to fishing, while older kids and teens may enjoy learning from either the lagoon or the beach using surf gear.
All lessons are adapted according to the child’s age, confidence level, skills and experience.
Gear & Bait
We provide all rods, tackle, and bait needed for the lesson, and the gear is selected according to the location and fishing conditions on the day.
You’re welcome to bring your own gear or combine it with ours depending on your preference. If you have gear that you’d like to bring along but aren’t sure about, Matt will be able to guide you beforehand.
If you’re looking to buy your own gear, Matt can also assist with recommendations and help guide you through selecting suitable rods, reels, tackle, and setups.
We use fresh bait wherever possible, and bait collection is often included as part of the lesson. Depending on the conditions on the day, you may have the opportunity to get involved yourself or observe while Matt demonstrates the process.
